Frank Family Vineyards of Napa Valley, California produces wines that live up to the heritage of the land on which they are produced. A family owned and operated winery, owners Rich and Leslie Frank focus their energies on making superb still wines. The winery produces Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Petite Syrah and several distinctively different Cabernet Sauvignons. The highly regarded Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, which is barrel aged for two and one-half years, is emerging as one of the most sought after wines in the valley and their Carneros Vineyards produced some of the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir available.

“We are delighted to feature Frank Family Wines at this historic Wine Dinner Event at Foxwoods,” said Matthew Murphy, President of Murphy Distributors. “These extraordinary wines and unique delicacies are paired beautifully by the master chefs at David Burke Prime.”

“The first course will include the Frank Family Brut Rosé 2012, pale salmon in color and on the nose, perfumes of fresh strawberries and warm Brioche rise from the glass. The second course has Frank Family Chardonnay 2014, a medium-light golden yellow with a fragrant tropical apricot and mandarin orange aroma with a note of sweet oak and hint of honeysuckle. A perfect pairing for seafood and shellfish. Frank Family Pinot Noir 2013 accompanies the third course with a bright ruby core and opens with aromas of black cherries, raspberries and spice. The palate is fleshy, loaded with fresh berry flavors and lush savory notes. The tannins are refined and provide elegance and structure,” Murphy added.

“The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa pairing with the fourth course is a much more friendly, supple, fruit-forward style of wine with loads of creme de cassis, plum, licorice and spice – an opulent, full-bodied wine. The fifth and final course features a Late Harvest Chardonnay NV – a dessert wine that radiates purity and opulence with its yellow amber hues. Intense aromas of dried apricots, quince paste and hints of pear lead into a wet stone minerality, classic of botrytized wines. The palate is beautifully balanced with layers of spice and honey that mingle with exotic notes of candied mango and pineapple,” added Murphy.

“Frank Family Vineyards share our passion for providing the best products in the industry, taking pride in all they do. It is the higher standard they project that has set them apart from other wineries. It is also what brings us together. Murphy Distributors shares the passion for having the highest standards in the industry. We’re not just another distributor; we represent something different as well, and that is exceptional brands and branding.”  Murphy added.

Branford, CT – Murphy Distributors is proud to announce it has obtained exclusive distribution rights for California-based Chateau Diana Wines.

Chateau Diana Winery was founded in 1981, but its beginnings were crafted along a career path that would take founder Tom Manning, his wife Diane, and later, his young family on a coast-to-coast journey.

Native New Yorkers, the Mannings moved to California with their four children in search of the American dream. Tom was lucky to be involved in the early days of a rapidly growing wine retailing group, Trader Joe’s. The owner personally selected Tom to develop Negociant Wine Brands.

With the rapid sales and success that Tom enjoyed, he seized the opportunity to open his own winery facility in 1981. Affectionately named after his wife, Chateau Diana was born in Healdsburg, CA.

In 1983, a dream was realized with the purchase of the LeBaron Ranch encompassing 60 acres in the Dry Creek Valley, California. Over 30 years later, the Manning family honors the LeBaron’s legacy of maintaining a family-owned winery. The business continued to grow with a sales office in Southern California.

“We are delighted to have been chosen as the exclusive distributor for Chateau Diana Winery,” said Matthew Murphy, President and founder of Murphy Distributors. “This is yet another example that Murphy Distributors continues to be one of the top Distributors of choice for suppliers in and entering the Connecticut market.”

The winery was chosen Winner of the 2014 & 2015 Winter WINE-land Spirit Award.

“We are currently delivering to select retailers throughout Connecticut,” added Murphy.

Patriarch Cabernet Sauvignon

216971Frank Family Vineyards is excited to announce the release of the first vintage of a new wine, Patriarch. This outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon was made in honor of winery owner Rich Frank’s 98-year-old father and World War II veteran, Hy Frank. Frank Family Vineyards is proud to honor Hy and all American veterans who have given their lives to defend our rights and freedoms.

Born to immigrant parents from Lithuania, Hy enlisted in the United States Army at the height of World War II, leaving behind his wife and 10-month-old son. Hy was deployed to Normandy and landed on Omaha Beach four days after D-Day. He drove support vehicles for the First Army and General George S. Patton’s Third Army as the troops moved from town to town liberating the French. At the end of the war, Hy returned to his family in Brooklyn, New York and founded Heide Meat Company, which he operated successfully for 30 years, providing the means to send his first son, Rich Frank, to university. Rich later developed an incredibly successful career in entertainment, thanks in great part to his father’s dedication, values and hard work. Rich Frank presented the first release of Patriarch to his father on his 98th birthday.

Produced in very limited quantities, the 2012 Patriarch Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $225) is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the best rows of vines on Rich Frank’s personal hillside estate vineyard in Rutherford. Patriarch will be available for purchase today via Frank Family Vineyards’ tasting room and website:

“My father has lived his life expecting no more than what his own efforts brought. His ethics, hard work and discipline exemplify the very nature of a man who weaves the strong fabric of family, community and country. On this Memorial Day, we raise a glass to my father, a true American patriot and our patriarch, and all the men and women who have fought to make our country great,” says owner Rich Frank.
