Chateau Diana Winery Joins Murphy Distributor’s Exclusive Distribution List

Branford, CT – Murphy Distributors is proud to announce it has obtained exclusive distribution rights for California-based Chateau Diana Wines.

Chateau Diana Winery was founded in 1981, but its beginnings were crafted along a career path that would take founder Tom Manning, his wife Diane, and later, his young family on a coast-to-coast journey.

Native New Yorkers, the Mannings moved to California with their four children in search of the American dream. Tom was lucky to be involved in the early days of a rapidly growing wine retailing group, Trader Joe’s. The owner personally selected Tom to develop Negociant Wine Brands.

With the rapid sales and success that Tom enjoyed, he seized the opportunity to open his own winery facility in 1981. Affectionately named after his wife, Chateau Diana was born in Healdsburg, CA.

In 1983, a dream was realized with the purchase of the LeBaron Ranch encompassing 60 acres in the Dry Creek Valley, California. Over 30 years later, the Manning family honors the LeBaron’s legacy of maintaining a family-owned winery. The business continued to grow with a sales office in Southern California.

Born to immigrant parents from Lithuania, Hy enlisted in the United States Army at the height of World War II, leaving behind his wife and 10-month-old son. Hy was deployed to Normandy and landed on Omaha Beach four days after D-Day. He drove support vehicles for the First Army and General George S. Patton’s Third Army as the troops moved from town to town liberating the French. At the end of the war, Hy returned to his family in Brooklyn, New York and founded Heide Meat Company, which he operated successfully for 30 years, providing the means to send his first son, Rich Frank, to university. Rich later developed an incredibly successful career in entertainment, thanks in great part to his father’s dedication, values and hard work. Rich Frank presented the first release of Patriarch to his father on his 98th birthday.

Murphy Distributors Secures Exclusive Distribution for “The Real Dill – 100% Natural Bloody Mary Mix”

The Real Dill is a pickle company in Denver, Colorado that has been pickling cucumbers since May 2012 and, as of May 2013, has been creating a much sought-after Bloody Mary mix.

The headquarters, aka The Dillery, is the brainchild of co-founders Justin Park & Tyler DuBois. Each had been making pickles on their own, just for fun. Good friends, they would share their goods with each other, comparing notes. After exchanging recipes for a while they finally made a batch together with fresh ingredients from Tyler’s garden.

The pickles – the first ever version of their Jalapeño Honey Dills – were so unique, crunchy, and flavorful, that they decided that they needed to do something with their creation. They spent the better part of the next two years developing new recipes, drawing inspiration from unique ingredients that they loved to cook with but had not necessarily been typically associated with pickles.

Initially, DuBois and Park dumped the leftover cucumber-infused water down the drain. They used to throw it out, but it smelled so good and it tasted so good, they felt guilty about throwing it out.

In May 2013, the duo began adding tomato juice and spices to make the Bloody Mary mix and the market gulped it down. It’s now The Real Dill’s top seller and there’s sometimes a need to juice cucumbers  when there’s not enough pickling byproduct. The Real Dill’s Habanero Horseradish Dills inspired the Bloody Mary mix. The freshness of ingredients is key to any great cocktail or dish and The Real Dill is surely aware of this. Every ingredient is hand chopped and placed into the jars.

Adam Corolla is a comedian, radio personality, and podcaster pioneer. He was the co-host and co-creator of the television program The Man Show (1999–2004).

“Mangria is Adam Carolla’s signature cocktail and his personal version of Sangria,” said Matthew Murphy, president of Murphy Distributors. “As the legend goes, Adam Corolla’s concoction is a genuine, homemade recipe. One evening he found himself half-a-glass short of red wine so he topped his drink off with a generous vodka pour. The mixture was strong and bitter, so he also mixed in some orange juice, a blend of other fruits juices, some other spirits and some fruit. And so Mangria was born.” Adam Corolla mixed up a batch and brought it over to Jimmy Kimmel’s Fourth of July party. That’s when the name “Mangria” came about. He talked about it on his podcast. A fan of his show from Napa that worked for a wine company called him and Mangria became a reality. It is available in stores all around the country.
Mangria calls itself a wine cocktail that boasts “aromas of plum, cherry, blackberry, orange, and citrus.” It is a potent drink that goes down easy because it doesn’t taste much like alcohol. The alcohol content tops out at 20.9 percent; about eight percent above a standard wine bottle.
“Adam Corolla’s Mangria is currently available in three varieties,” said Murphy. “The Original Orange Cocktail offers intense blackberry and cranberry aromatics, full-bodied texture and a citrusy but smooth finish.
